Our Healer
A couple months ago I went to the doctor because something wasn’t quite right, and hadn’t been for a couple years. The doctor wanted all the details I could provide. How I was feeling and where I hurt, the more I shared, the more she could help and know how to help. When I shared every detail, she knew how to help me heal.
“On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Mark 2:17
Jesus is our Great Physician. He is the ultimate healer who knows how to heal all pain.
When we just talk with Him about all the pain and discomfort we’re feeling, He is able to minister to our wounds.
Share every detail.
Yes, He already knows but sharing it all with Him invites His power and healing over you and into those broken places.
It’s ok, you can be honest and real with God.
You can let down your guard. He knows you deeply and intimately whether or not you know Him.
Tell Him where you’re at.
He’s right there with you and cares so deeply for you.
He wants to comfort you.
He wants to heal you.
He is the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3).
Place it all at His feet and lean against His robe and rest.
Wait expectantly for Him to show up and do what only He can.
“Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!”
Psalm 116:2
“All my longings lie open before you, Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.”
Psalm 38:9
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
1 Peter 5:7
